Isak expects to play in both World Cup qualifiers

Isak missed large parts of the season due to a broken leg and was not involved when Sweden secured a place at this summer's World Cup in March.

He returned in the spring, but suffered another minor injury a couple of weeks ago. In the season-ending game against Liverpool, he sat on the bench for the entire match.

Since the national team gathered on Wednesday, Isak has taken part in most training sessions and expects to play, starting in Oslo on Monday evening.

There shouldn't be any problems, he said.

At today's press conference with the World Cup squad in Stockholm, Alexander Isak commented on the serious leg fracture he suffered in December.

It was a complicated injury. I noticed pretty quickly that it wasn't good. It wasn't fun. My reaction was, 'Sigh.' I've had some muscle injuries, but it was my first surgery. It was a scary experience.

I don't like watching injury videos, but I've seen the situation. I had to see it because I scored at the same time.

Sweden will face Norway (away) on Monday and Greece (at home) on Thursday before the team travels to Dallas next weekend.
