Graeme Bailey’s piece for TeamTalk today has lots of interesting ideas about the potential Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid move.
It’s dominating all the headlines right now, with other journalists suggesting earlier today that Madrid could try to offset his cost by offering Chelsea players in return. Dean Huijsen and Aurelian Tchouameni were offered from the first team, but according to Bailey there are other options.
Los Blancos are also considering seeing if Jacobo Ramon or Chema Andres would interest the Blues.
Chelsea and Madrid could find common ground in youngsters
What’s confusing about all this is that Madrid don’t own either player right now. Ramon is at Como (and has been linked with Chelsea quite a lot) while Andres is at Stuttgart.
Madrid look likely to buy them both back and then sell them on, or perhaps include them in pseudo-swap like the one we’re discussing above. Neither has the same value as someone like Huijsen or Tchouameni as a makeweight, but they would certainly be considered by Chelsea.
