Anthony Gordon will speak to the Spanish media today after completing his £69.3m move from Newcastle United. The England winger completed a medical on Thursday, with the deal set to be confirmed on Friday lunchtime.
It brings to an end three-and-a-half years on Tyneside for Gordon, who movd to Newcastle from Everton in January 2023. In that time he has become an England regular and starred for United in both domestic competitions and the Champions League, scoring 10 goals in Europe this season.
Newcastle agreed to sell Gordon with pressure on the club to meet financial regulations, while the player was keen to explore options with the Magpies missing out on Europe next season. Bayern Munich were interested, but Barcelona acted quickly to seal the deal. We'll have live updates from his press conference right here.
