At a Glance:

Como are interested in one Arsenal star

Premier League clubs are interested too

Could potentially join one of the promoted sides from the Championship, as well

Cesc Fabregas’ Como have secured Champions League qualification for next season, and will be looking to bolster their squad ahead of their upcoming campaign.

Over in England, Arsenal have been crowned Premier League champions and, ahead of what could be a big summer for the Gunners, might be looking to raise funds in order for a big summer transfer, like Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.

The North London club has a fairly deep attacking unit, and it seems that Como are keen to acquire the services of a young prospect that has risen through the Arsenal academy in recent years.

Ethan Nwaneri is wanted by Cesc Fabregas and Como

It has been reported by TEAMtalk that Como are especially interested in Arsenal attacker Ethan Nwaneri, with the assurance of featuring in Champions League football a factor that the Italian club will hope to flaunt in order to tempt the teenager.

Still only 19, Nwaneri has already been linked to Europe in recent times, but his 2025/26 campaign has not been a particularly fruitful one at either Arsenal or Marseille, with the latter being where he spent the second half of the season.

However, the Englishman’s ability as a technically gifted attacker who thrives in tight spaces while combining close control with sharp movement and creativity make him a desirable player regardless of form.

Comfortable centrally or out wide, he can play the ball confidently, link play intelligently and also possesses the composure and finishing ability to consistently threaten around the penalty area.

With Nwaneri valued at around £50 million by the club, it would be a lofty fee to pay for Como, so the most likely option would be to take the youngster in loan, but it does seem like they are interested in a permanent transfer too.

Premier League clubs are also interested in Nwaneri

It also appears that English clubs are interested in Nwaneri, with Aston Villa, Everton, and Newcastle United all looking to get the Hale End product into their club.

A loan move could also be in the cards to a newly-promoted Premier League side such as Coventry or Ipswich, with incentives included for a more significant role in the team for Nwaneri.

Given that he only made six PL appearances and played under 200 minutes of English league football last season, it would be of benefit for Nwaneri to play consistent minutes in his homeland, even if it is not for Arsenal.
