Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for Yan Diomande as they look to rebuild following a disappointing season under Arne Slot.
The 19-year-old RB Leipzig winger is also a key contract priority for Leipzig, with the Bundesliga side pushing to extend his current deal, which runs until 2030.

However, Diomande is understood to be cautious about the growing speculation around his future, particularly given reports that Leipzig could demand as much as £130m for his signature.
The winger has reportedly questioned whether such a valuation is realistic in today’s transfer market, despite interest from several top European clubs.
Addressing the speculation around his Leipzig future, Diomande admitted earlier this week: “Yeah, I heard. But I don’t know if it’s going to be okay for everyone to pay that.
“I’m not going to say Paris, Liverpool or Real [Madrid]. But it would be a good idea to play for big clubs. Everyone has ambitions and every day you want to go higher.”
Liverpool have identified Diomande as a key summer target as they look to refresh an attacking unit that has lacked consistency this season.
He is viewed as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah, who is set to leave the club this summer. To help structure a potential deal, Liverpool are reportedly considering including Harvey Elliott as part of a makeweight to reduce the overall fee.
The approach reflects the club’s efforts to manage a busy transfer window under head coach Arne Slot while balancing squad rebuilding with financial constraints.
According to Sky Sports in Germany, Liverpool are pushing hard to sign Yan Diomande. The Reds want to finalise the deal before the World Cup. Diomande is also attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
However, Leipzig remain keen to keep hold of the attacker and are working to extend his contract, which currently runs until 2030, making any potential transfer more complicated for interested clubs.
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot outlined the club’s transfer priorities following a challenging season. Slot said the primary focus is addressing the void on the right wing left by Salah, with recruitment staff weighing up whether to bring in a like-for-like replacement or adjust the team’s tactical profile with a different type of attacker.
“One of the reasons why everyone is talking about wingers is because Mo is leaving,” Slot said. “It makes complete sense to think about at least one. I think last season gives you the answer. How important were our wingers last season for our success.
“They were scoring goals, providing goals, so they were a vital part of us winning the league last season and, in general in football, you see more and more focus on wingers.”
Yan Diomande, who turns 20 in November, has enjoyed a rapid rise since joining RB Leipzig from Spanish side CD Leganes last year.
The winger has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young talents after a standout campaign in which he registered 13 goals and 10 assists in Germany, underlining his growing reputation across Europe.
