Man Utd have been in contact with Porto about signing William Gomes, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Madrid-based publication AS claims the Red Devils are one of five clubs who have registered their interest in the 20-year-old.
Arsenal, Newcastle, Atletico Madrid and Roma are also said to be keeping tabs on Gomes, who played a key role in Porto winning the Liga Portugal title.

The Brazilian scored 13 goals and provided 2 assists in all competitions during his first full season in European football.
What do Man Utd fans need to know about the player?
Gomes is left-footed, and he is usually deployed on the right wing, where he likes to cut in and shoot on his stronger side.
The forward came through Sao Paulo’s youth system, and he only made his senior debut against Fluminense in November 2023.
After just 20 first-team appearances, Porto decided to sign Gomes for €9m during the 2025 January transfer window.
He played a handful of games for the Portuguese side in the second half of last season, with his first goal coming at the Club World Cup in June, when he scored in the 4-4 draw against Al-Ahly in the group stages.
Porto are not keen on selling Gomes this summer
The Brazilian youth international has only been with his current team for less than 18 months, and AS report that there is no interest in offloading him to United or any other club at the moment.
Porto would like to keep hold of Gomes for at least another season, and if any team does make an offer, they will be told to match his release clause, which currently stands at a hefty €80m (£69m).
You can’t see United paying that much, especially for a left-footed winger. They already have several players in their squad with similar profiles – Bryan Mbeumo, Amad and Patrick Dorgu.
