FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 30 May, including the latest updates on Eli Junior Kroupi, Ibrahima Konate and Bernardo Silva.

Man City open Kroupi talks

Manchester City have opened talks with the representatives of Eli Junior Kroupi ahead of a potential record-breaking move from Bournemouth this summer.

Kroupi has emerged as a target for teams such as City and Arsenal after an impressive debut season where the 19-year-old netted 13 times in his debut season.

Bournemouth have already stressed they have no desire to sell Kroupi this summer but TEAMtalk" href="https://www.teamtalk.com/news/bournemouth-approach-nathan-ake-transfer-man-city-open-door-exit-exclusive" target="_blank">TEAMtalk report that the Cherries value the forward at a base level of £80 million (€92m.)

It is hoped the valuation would ward off suitors, with Bournemouth telling interested teams that they would have to break their transfer record for Kroupi, while the club have also opened contract talks to try and keep hold of the Frenchman.

Perez eyes three stars for Real Madrid

Florentino Perez has three names on his shortlist to sign for Real Madrid this summer if he is re-elected as the club’s president, according to COPE" href="https://www.cope.es/programas/el-partidazo-de-cope/noticias/nombres-estrellas-quiere-florentino-perez-real-madrid-joao-neves-bastoni-repesca-victor-munoz-20260528_3373915.html" target="_blank">COPE in Spain.

Madrid will hold elections next month to decide if Perez continues, with his most fierce competitor likely to be Enrique Riquelme.

It is claimed that Perez likes Joao Neves of Paris Saint-Germain, Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni and former Madrid youngster Victor Munoz, whom the club have a sell-on clause for at Osasuna.

Neves would be almost unattainable at PSG but Bastoni is thought to be a player available for transfer this summer, while Munoz could be purchased on a cut-price deal due to the club holding 50% of his transfer rights.

Bernardo Silva rejects Atletico Madrid to sign for Barcelona

Bernardo Silva is set to turn down a move to Atletico Madrid in favour of joining Barcelona after his contract expires at Manchester City this summer.

Silva will be available on a free transfer and has been in advanced negotiations with both clubs but ESPN Deportes" href="https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/48907583/transfer-rumors-news-barcelona-beat-arsenal-hincapie" target="_blank">ESPN Deportes have claimed that talks with Barcelona have intensified following the signing of Anthony Gordon.

While the agreement is not finalised, there is optimism an agreement will be reached in the coming hours, much to the disappointment of Atletico.

Tensions have already been high between both clubs after the pursuit of Julian Alvarez, which resulted in Atletico publicly calling out Barcelona’s conduct.

Chelsea to try Konate approach

Chelsea are reportedly ready to ‘try their luck’ with signing Ibrahima Konate this summer, with the defender set to leave Liverpool on a free transfer.

Konate’s contract will expire in June and talks over an extension have broken down despite previous suggestions that the Frenchman was close to an agreement.

L’Equipe" href="https://www.espn.co.uk/football/story/_/id/48909150/chelsea-want-120m-enzo-fernandez-amid-potential-exit-sources" target="_blank">L’Equipe report that the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have entered into ‘much more concrete negotiations’ for Konate, which has tempted the Liverpool star to explore his options.

Chelsea are also said to be in the race but they are described as being ‘further behind’ other clubs, with Konate’s future unlikely to be decided before the start of the 2026 World Cup.
