The Dutchman has not played since mid-March, missing the last 14 games across all competitions with an ankle injury, but trained this week and flew with the squad to Budapest.

Mikel Arteta confirmed on the eve of the final that Timber was now fit and ready to start, which could be crucial in a battle with PSG star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

With Mikel Merino now available again and Timber back in contention, Ben White is the only confirmed absentee for the Gunners.

If for some reason Timber does not end up starting, it would likely be Cristhian Mosquera tasked with filling in at right-back for Arsenal at the Puskas Arena.

In midfield, Myles Lewis-Skelly has been preferred to Martin Zubimendi in recent weeks and could get the nod on the biggest stage, alongside Declan Rice.

Martin Odegaard is looking to become the first Arsenal captain ever to lift the Champions League trophy and he is likely to start, even if that means Eberechi Eze having to settle for a place on the bench.

Return: Jurrien Timber has not played for Arsenal since mid-March, but trained in recent days

Leandro Trossard has returned to the form he showed earlier in the season and is favourite to line up on the left wing.

Up front, there is a big decision for Arteta to make. Viktor Gyokeres has stepped up over the past month and is Arsenal's top scorer with 21 goals this season.

However, Arteta has often turned to Kai Havertz in the big matches and with the German now fully fit, he could be the one to lead the line in Budapest.
