Yan Diomande is a player in high demand ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
It has been widely reported that he is a priority target for Liverpool, but the Reds will also have to face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for his services.

Despite intense speculation around his future, Diomande is a player who demands that his football does the talking and he has remained humble throughout with him recently revealing his thoughts on learning what RB Leipzig’s asking price of him was.
Diomande said: “Yeah, I heard. But I don’t know if it’s going to be okay for everyone to pay that.”
“I’m not going to say Paris, Liverpool or Real (Madrid). But it would be a good idea to play for big clubs. Everyone has ambitions and every day you want to go higher. So, it was Leganes, today I’m a Leipzig player. I’m not going to hide my desires or my dreams. I want to play for a big club, of course.”
“I am African, I am a believer. I believe in God, I work. Whatever the club, I am ready to fight every day to win my place, to give my best. That’s what I’ve always done. That’s what I know how to do, me.”
Yan Diomande may want his head to remain in the sand but on the surface, Liverpool are working hard.
Diario SPORT have now provided an update that reveals Liverpool have edged ahead of PSG in their pursuit of the 19-year-old.
According to the publication: “Yan Diomande is beginning to lean towards the offer from Anfield. Liverpool has promised the winger a key role in Arne Slot’s squad, a starting position, something he wouldn’t be guaranteed in Paris given the abundance of attacking talent in the Paris Saint-Germain ranks – Kvaratskhelia, Doué, and Dembélé”
Liverpool’s promise to make Diomande a starter at the club will be the reality given the Mohamed Salah sized hole the Reds now have in their team.
RB Leipzig remain adamant that they can convince Yan Diomande to sign a contract renewal at the club but they may be unable to refuse if a major offer comes in from the Reds.
With the Bundesliga club set to be tough to negotiate with, Sky Germany have reported that Liverpool intend to wrap the deal up before the World Cup, ramping up the pressure on getting the deal done as soon as possible.
They view Diomande as the ideal successor to Mohamed Salah and don’t want to waste their time in getting their target.
