The Champions League medal rules and which Arsenal players will get one after PSG clash:

Total medal allocation: Under Article 11.03 of the official UEFA Champions League regulations, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain will be presented with 50 medals each to distribute among their squad and staff. This strictly capped allocation means the club must carefully decide how to divide them between the active playing squad, coaching staff and support personnel.

Lack of minimum appearance rule: Unlike the strict criteria traditionally enforced in the English Premier League, UEFA does not require a player to have featured in a specific number of matches to be eligible for a medal. This means that a squad player who spent the entire European campaign on the bench or recovering from an injury remains permitted to receive a medal.

Squad registration requirements: To be eligible for a medal at the final presentation ceremony, a player must be a registered member of the club's official Champions League squad. This includes any individual submitted on the primary List A or the youth-focused List B during the tournament registration windows.

Club's distribution decision: As UEFA hands over 50 medals to the winning and losing sides, Arsenal and PSG's hierarchy holds the ultimate authority over who gets one. The club can distribute the physical medals to anyone they choose, including backroom staff, medical team members or directors.

More medals for larger squads: Should a club determine that 50 medals prove inadequate to encompass their full squad and backroom team, they may submit a formal application for supplementary medals to UEFA. Nevertheless, any additional medals sought by the club must be funded entirely at their own cost and remain subject to official administrative clearance.

Arsenal players eligible for medals: David Raya, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Tommy Setford, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Jurrien Timber, Ben White, Riccardo Calafiori, Piero Hincapie, Cristhian Mosquera, Marli Salmon, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Martin Zubimendi, Mikel Merino, Eberechi Eze, Christian Norgaard, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Jesus, Noni Madueke and Max Dowman.

Matchday timing information: The final is set to commence in Budapest at 5pm today, with radio commentary and pre-match analysis beginning as early as 3pm for supporters monitoring proceedings from home. The official medal presentation ceremony will occur on the pitch directly after the final whistle, anticipated around 7pm unless extra time or penalties extend the fixture.
