Theo Walcott has called on Arsenal to secure the signings of both Morgan Rogers and Julian Alvarez during the summer transfer window. The attacking duo are amongst the high-profile names that have been heavily linked with the Gunners as they seek to strengthen following their Premier League title triumph.
Rogers has been outstanding for Aston Villa this term, while Alvarez has notched another 20-goal season at Atletico Madrid. The pair, who are expected to command fees of approximately £100million apiece, appear destined to depart their current clubs, with Barcelona actively chasing Alvarez — though former Arsenal wide man Walcott is keen to see both arrive at Emirates Stadium.
"For me, it's tricky. Morgan Rogers would be exceptional, Villa have, of course, got Champions League and he's English, so it would be a lot of money."
"But I think Arsenal would be able to attract any kind of player. Alvarez, I am a big fan, but I am also a big fan of Gyokeres. It's one of those, but they are going to add and build and get stronger, and I feel like they can dominate for many years."
Building an Arsenal dynasty seems to be the objective for club chiefs, with Co-chair Josh Kroenke outlining the club's transfer strategy ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Speaking to NBC, he said: "The business never stops. Right now there are already other teams who are trying to strengthen and come at us for next season.
"We need to be aware of that. We've already had a few different conversations about different areas where we think we can improve on and off the pitch.

"I am looking forward to getting that going this summer but it's going to be an interesting one because of the World Cup but fortunately everyone is coming to the United States so I don't have to travel."
The bulk of transfer activity is anticipated to occur following the tournament, though it has been reported that Villa would be prepared to part with Rogers before Thursday, June 11 at the appropriate price.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford and Bournemouth's teenage sensation Eli Junior Kroupi are just a handful of other attacking options to have been linked with a move.
