Chelsea’s transfer pursuit has been handed an endorsement from Antonio Rudiger, who believes a Blues target has the edge over Cole Palmer.
Antonio Rudiger and Cole Palmer never actually shared the pitch at Stamford Bridge, with the German defender departing for Real Madrid a year before he arrived from Manchester City.
However, it doesn’t take a genius to see Palmer’s quality. From his magical left foot, to his trademark Cold Palmer, he’s developed into one of the most exciting creative players in world football.
This season may not have gone to plan for Palmer at Chelsea, with the 2026 World Cup snub, but that hasn’t changed the huge part he’s set to play under Xabi Alonso.
What is Xabi Alonso’s number one priority as soon as he walks through those doors?🤔

Antonio Rudiger rates Arda Guler very highly
Xabi Alonso may not have started his time as Chelsea manager just yet, but he’s already working on a potential move for Arda Guler.
At this stage, it’s nothing more than interest, but who knows what the future holds.
But one thing that is for certain is that Antonio Rudiger is a big fan of the attacker (Turkiye) as a current teammate at Real Madrid, who have just appointed Jose Mourinho.
“The best left foot in the world, great pass, brother… It was a good ball from Arda, and it wasn’t difficult for me at all.”
Mohamed Salah back at Chelsea, who says no?🤔
Arda Guler and Cole Palmer compared
Cole Palmer and Arda Guler share stylistic similarities as left-footed playmakers who love cutting inside from the right, but they have taken different paths to stardom.
Palmer is a proven Premier League powerhouse, whereas Guler is slightly less physically imposing and relies on a more intricate, low-gravity playing style, similar to Eden Hazard.
Palmer currently offers more refined final-third efficiency, but Guler’s high ceiling puts him on the same path as Estevao Willian at Chelsea.
