Being the Parisians’ skipper, the former Roma defender could well have simply wheeled off in celebration after the tight affair ended up in the Ligue 1 winners’ favour.
Ultimately, Arsenal fans will feel bad for Gabriel, considering he has been consistently brilliant under Mikel Arteta’s stewardship.
But the Arsenal fanbase will collectively be ruing the 28-year-old’s miss, as he even failed to test Matvei Safanov.

On the night, Gabriel has proved to be the villain but to scapegoat him for Arsenal’s defeat to PSG would be harsh.

The defender had an terrific game at the back and throughout this season, he has been world-class.
Anyone can miss a penalty, especially a central defender but at the end of the day, what Gabriel has done for Arsenal for years now has been nothing short of heroic.
