Chelsea news is heating up this summer as Enzo Fernandez looks set to push for a move away from Stamford Bridge after a difficult season in London.
Enzo Fernandez eyes the exit door after tough season
As per the BBC, the 25-year-old Argentine midfielder has grown deeply unsettled at Chelsea and is now actively seeking a summer transfer away from the club. The Blues had a season to forget, finishing 10th in the Premier League and missing out on European qualification altogether. Chelsea news took a significant turn. As per Goal, Fernandez’s agent, Javier Pastore, has already made direct contact with Real Madrid. The Spanish giants need a goal-scoring midfielder after a rough season at the Bernabeu, and Fernandez is exactly what they are looking for. He is 25 years old, playing the best football of his career, and hungry for Champions League nights again. Real Madrid are starting fresh under Jose Mourinho, and they need a midfielder who can score goals, win the ball back, and push play forward.
During what was a tough season for the team, Fernandez stood out individually. As per Transfermarkt, he made 54 appearances and scored 15 goals with 7 assists. He can carry the ball, press hard, and still create chances in the final third, which is a rare mix in the game today.
However, Chelsea are not making this easy. As per BBC, the club has set a firm 120 million pound asking price for Enzo Fernandez, and they have no intention of negotiating below it. For Fernandez, staying means another season without Champions League football, which at 25 and at the peak of his powers, is time he simply cannot afford to waste.

The Blues can set any price they want. But without Champions League football, no contract or fee will solve this problem. Fernandez has won too much to sit and watch from the sidelines. He will move on, and he will take his winners mentality to a bigger stage.
