Following a season which brought a first Premier League title for 22 years and a spot in just their second-ever Champions League final, the time has come for Arsenal to assess what has been an incredible campaign.

The Gunners saw off an intense challenge from Manchester City to claim the league title for the first time since 2003-04, while they narrowly came up short to defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League showpiece.

One of the key reasons behind Arsenal’s remarkable success was their excellent transfer business in 2025-26, with many observers concluding they currently boast the best squad in the Premier League.

And so as manager Mikel Arteta sits back and plots how to make Arsenal even better next season, FootballTransfers takes a look at every signing made by the club this season, delivering each player a verdict between A-F.

Eberechi Eze - B (€69m/£60m from Crystal Palace)

After firing Crystal Palace to their first major trophy in last season’s FA Cup final, Eberechi Eze picked up from where he left off in his maiden campaign with boyhood club Arsenal.

Earning his side the north London bragging rights by scoring five goals in two games against Tottenham Hotspur this season, the 27-year-old also scored an almighty winner in the nerve-shredding 1-0 home win over Newcastle United - with those three points proving decisive in the Premier League title race.

Martin Zubimendi - B (€64m/£55.8m from Real Sociedad)

Martin Zubimendi was quick to forge a strong midfield partnership with Declan Rice in the early part of the season - an impressive feat following the difficult decision to leave hometown club Real Sociedad last summer.

The Spain international may have struggled with fatigue in the final few weeks of a hectic, emotional campaign, but his superb performances in the first few months mustn’t be forgotten.

Viktor Gyokeres - B (€63m/£55m from Sporting CP)

Winning hearts and minds within the Arsenal fanbase for his tireless work rate, Viktor Gyokeres became the first player since Alexis Sanchez in 2014-15 to score 20+ goals in their debut season with the club.

The Sweden striker broke the deadlock in both Premier League games against Everton this season, with the six points earned from those two fixtures playing a massive role in Arsenal becoming champions.

Noni Madueke - C (€56m/£48.5m from Chelsea)

Arriving from London rivals Chelsea, Noni Madueke beefed up an Arsenal right flank which was previously sweating on Bukayo Saka staying fit for the entire season.

And while the winger performed well in cup competitions, the 24-year-old struggled with consistency at times. However, considering he is still relatively young, he has time to improve in that regard.

Cristhian Mosquera - B (€15m/£13m from Valencia)

With just one year left on his contract at Valencia, Arsenal took advantage by securing the services of Cristhian Mosquera in a cut-price deal last summer.

Switching between right-back and centre-back, the 21-year-old caught the eye for the Gunners, particularly in the Champions League final as he impressively kept PSG star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia quiet for an hour, before conceding a penalty.

Christian Norgaard - D (€11.5m/£10m from Brentford)

While Christian Norgaard was only ever supposed to be a squad player for Arsenal, the 32-year-old will still be disappointed with the amount of minutes he received.

As Zubimendi tired towards the back end of the campaign, the Denmark international was overlooked in midfield as Arteta put his faith in Myles Lewis-Skelly instead.

Kepa Arrizabalaga - C (€5.7m/£5m from Chelsea)

Having been a mainstay of Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth in 2024-25, Arsenal deserve credit for successfully convincing Kepa Arrizabalaga to act as their second choice goalkeeper this season.

While the 31-year-old may have made a costly mistake in the Carabao Cup final loss to Man City this season, Arsenal to a man were poor that day, meaning it would be extremely harsh to blame the defeat solely on the Spaniard.

Piero Hincapie - B (Loan from Bayer Leverkusen)

While Arsenal claim they signed Piero Hincapie on a straight loan, and Bayer Leverkusen say the deal contains an obligation to buy this summer, there is at least one thing that remains clear: the defender was excellent for Arteta’s side this season.

The 24-year-old left-back more than played his part in an Arsenal side that was rock solid defensively in 2025-26, while he also got the all-important assist for Gyokeres’ opener in the home win over Everton in March.
