'Busy...' - Fabrizio Romano just shared exciting Arsenal transfer update after Champions League …

The 2025/26 season was a great one for Arsenal as they were crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years.

It was almost an incredible, historic season, but defeat on penalties in the UEFA Champions League final stopped them from completing the double.

Still, hundreds of thousands lined the streets to watch their heroes celebrate the Premier League triumph with an open-top bus parade on Sunday afternoon.

Manager Mikel Arteta admitted it was a painful result to take as they lost on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest, but that work would start imminently on improving their squad for the 2026/27 campaign.

Arsenal can take advantage of Manchester City changes

He said: "We start to make some very important decisions if we want to reach another level. And we're going to have to show that ambition because we are more than capable of doing it, but it's going to demand to be very, very ambitious, very fast and very smart."

Arteta wants to get straight down to business - after a family holiday - with the Gunners boss not willing to rest on just one Premier League title.

There will be a feeling behind the scenes at Arsenal, that with Pep Guardiola departing Manchester City this summer, there could be an opening for the Gunners to assert their dominance on the league if the Citizens take some time to adapt to not having the Spaniard in the dugout for the first time in a decade.

Arteta knows he will need to strengthen his squad and make changes, with a number of players likely to be allowed to leave - for the right price. GIVEMESPORT reported last week that as many as eight players could be on the transfer list to leave the Emirates Stadium.

And Fabrizio Romano believes four new faces could arrive.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, he shared an exciting update. He said: "Arsenal are still very satisfied with what they did [in January], but in the summer they're going to be busy.

"I think there could be three, four signings for Arsenal, also based on exits, but there will be movement up front. I already told you, winger is an absolute priority for Arsenal. A striker is a possibility, in midfield and at right-back.

"Arsenal have been searching for players since January already, that in January they didn't find the right opportunity, and so they didn't want to waste their money."

The Gunners have been linked with a number of players already. Julian Alvarez would be the dream signing up front, although Atletico Madrid are reluctant to let him go and there is keen interest from Barcelona too.

Rafael Leao has told interested parties that he is leaving AC Milan this summer, with Arsenal linked with the Portuguese in the past, while Morgan Rogers is set to depart Aston Villa - and the Gunners are serious contenders to sign him this summer.
