Liverpool is reportedly ahead of Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig
Diomande wants a guarantee of regular playing time, and given the lack of quality in wide areas at Anfield, he is said to see a better pathway at Liverpool than in Paris, where Luis Enrique's roster is well stocked in the forward department.
Spanish outlet SPORT says that it is also a possibility that Diomande could stay in the Bundesliga for another year, but that a move to Anfield is emerging as the most appealing option to the Ivorian. Diomande joined Leipzig from Leganes last summer and enjoyed a breakout season in the Bundesliga, registering 12 goals and nine assists in 33 appearances.
Aged 19, Diomande has plenty of years ahead of him at the top level – and many Liverpool fans will hope that those years are spent at Anfield.
Diomande's comments about Liverpool earlier this year grabbed plenty of attention, as he said: “I want to play at Anfield, I want to play for Liverpool. I’m a big fan of Liverpool.
“I’m a big fan of Liverpool because my father’s dream is to see me play at Anfield. So that’s my dream. You know, to fulfill my father’s dream is a dream for me too.”

He later rowed back on those comments, saying: "People made it out to be my dream club. But first and foremost, it's my dad's favorite club. It was always his great wish to see me play there someday because he loves the atmosphere at Anfield.
“He always raved about Steven Gerrard. I was too young to see him play. We didn't even have a TV at home for a long time.
“I have a lot of respect for Liverpool, but my dream club right now is Leipzig.”
Bournemouth striker wanted
Meanwhile, Liverpool is reportedly a long-term admirer of Bournemouth striker Junior Kroupi, who enjoyed an excellent season with the Cherries.
TEAMtalk says that Manchester City is the front-runner in the race to sign Kroupi, but Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea all admire the young forward.

Kroupi has just spent the season playing under Andoni Iraola, who is in line to become the next Liverpool boss.
Other big European clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, have all scouted Kroupi, who can play in a variety of positions across the forward line.
However, for now, Bournemouth is keen to keep hold of Kroupi for at least another season, having only signed the youngster from French side Lorient last year.
