Chelsea want striker with seven goals in 310 minutes

Chelsea could do with more goalscorers. There is no doubt about that. Joao Pedro and Enzo Fernandez were the only two reliable options in front of goal last season. Fans will be hoping for the return of Cole Palmer to form and Estevao to fitness. If Nicolas Jackson stays on, it could help as well. But more natural finishers are needed.

Some strikers develop that. Perhaps working with Harry Kane for a season has helped Jackson in that regard.

On the other hand, some strikers are just born with it. And it looks like Chelsea have someone in their sights who has scored seven goals in just 310 minutes of football for his club.

According to Tipsbladet, Mikkel Bro Hansen is wanted by clubs such as Manchester City, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Juventus and Ajax. Several of the clubs have sent scouts to the European Championship finals to see the Danish star.

Who is Mikkel Bro Hansen?

Bro Hansen is a name that most fans would not be familiar with. It is understandable as well. He is a 17-year-old striker currently playing for Bodo/Glimt.

Of course, after the historic run that Bodo/Glimt had in the Champions League this season, their recruitment and scouting needs to be respected. And it looks like Bro Hansen could be the next big thing.

Bro Hansen has played just 310 minutes of football in total for Bodo/Glimt so far, in 12 appearances total. That has been enough for him to score seven goals alongside three assists.

So, Bro Hansen is averaging a goal contribution every 31 minutes. He is also 17 years of age. That is a remarkable return.

Of course, it would be a mistake to view this as a fluke either. That is because his goalscoring record for the Denmark under-17 side is excellent as well. He has scored 12 times in 15 games and captains them.

Bro Hansen would be the most Chelsea signing ever

It is safe to say that Bro Hansen would be exactly the type of signing that you would expect Chelsea to make. The club have constantly tried to bring in youngsters from across the globe.

He would certainly have to be near the top of the performance charts when it comes to wonderkids across the world of football right now. Let’s see if Chelsea make their move.

Of course, it would be unrealistic to expect him to come in and immediately start contributing. But if the early signs are anything to go by, he could be one of the best strikers in the world in the future.
