AC Milan have been named as a potential landing spot for Arne Slot after his sacking by Liverpool by a source in England.
After a lot of reports suggested they were going to stick with Slot despite a disappointing title defence, the Reds made the decision to sack him over the weekend. This instantly led to claims that he could be evaluated as an option by Milan, who dismissed Massimiliano Allegri a week ago.

Confirmation from England
The Daily Mail are reporting that Arne Slot has indeed ’emerged as a potential candidate for Milan’ following his departure from Liverpool. The Rossoneri are ‘considering an approach’ as they sort through a list of candidates for the role.
They confirm that Milan have already spoken to Andoni Iraola who left Bournemouth at the end of the season. However, they were rebuffed and now the Basque coach is ‘the man expected to replace Slot at Liverpool’.
The Mail add that Milan will meet Oliver Glasner early this week, the coach who is leaving Crystal Palace as a free agent after guiding them to Europa Conference League glory against Rayo Vallecano, his third trophy at the club.
In addition to that, they add that the former Tottenham and Barcelona sporting director Ramon Planes is ‘the frontrunner to become Milan’s new director of sport’.
“Milan do not need clearance from Liverpool to speak to Slot, it is understood the terms of his departure leave him free to talk to clubs, but the question will be whether the Dutchman wants to take time off to recharge first,” the report concludes.
