Arsenal are interested in both Morgan Rogers and Eli Junior Kroupi ahead of what looks to be an ambitious summer for the club, football.london understands. The Gunners were crowned Premier League champions but only two games away from a potential treble, having been beaten in both the League Cup and Champions League finals.

Mikel Arteta has overseen a massive rise, having taken over the club when they sat in the bottom half of the table. Six and a half years on, and the work behind the scenes, both from a coaching and recruitment standpoint, has the Gunners back amongst the elite clubs in the world.

Speaking after the Champions League final, Arteta said: “We start to make some very important decisions if we want to reach another level. And we're going to have to show that ambition because we are more than capable of doing it, but it's going to demand to be very, very ambitious, very fast and very smart.”

The next step for Arsenal is to establish that winning streak, win multiple Premier League titles, and finally land the European glory they are so desperate for like Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain were before them. The difference, however, is that Arsenal wish to achieve these goals in a self-sufficient manner.

Rogers and Kroupi are expected to be expensive deals, should the club progress with any moves for the players. Aston Villa and Bournemouth are under no obligation to let their prized assets leave.

That said, Arsenal are an incredibly attractive destination for players who now have the evidence that they can win the biggest trophies around. The Gunners will look to make the most of that with Andrea Berta at the centre of the team's push for signings.

There is further keenness to add a midfielder and full back to the team, and player sales, which are a priority this summer, could yet promote further moves. The renewals of big stars like Jurrien Timber and Declan Rice are also on the club’s agenda, while also being confident that Arteta will extend his tenure.
