Arne Slot is already being touted for a new job, just two days after he was ruthlessly fired by Liverpool.
Having been backed throughout the season, news of Slot’s dismissal on Saturday came as a surprise — especially as it looked as though the Dutchman would be adding to his coaching staff at Anfield this summer.
Liverpool doesn’t look to be wasting any time in finding a replacement, with talks beginning with Andoni Iraola as the former Bournemouth boss looks set to step into the Anfield dugout. Slot may not have to wait too long for his next job either though.
According to the Daily Mail, AC Milan is “considering an approach” for Slot, having fired Max Allegri after the Italian team missed out on Champions League qualification for next season.
Coincidentally, Iraola was also reported to have been in the running for the job at the San Siro. The 43-year-old is claimed to have turned Milan down, having been holding out for the Liverpool job.
Slot has now been installed as the favorite to take over at Milan, although former Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner is expected to hold talks with the club.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claims that Slot’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has presented him as an option to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who acts as a senior advisor to Milan.
Slot still had a year remaining on his contract at Anfield when he was fired, with the 47-year-old only informed of the decision on Saturday morning, shortly before it was made public.
Writing an open letter to fans in the Liverpool Echo, Slot said: "You walk out under that famous sign in the Anfield tunnel, and you feel a mix of emotions. Responsibility, of course. To this club’s great history.

He added: "But I also leave knowing the club is exactly where it belongs: amongst Europe’s elite. Securing Champions League football was an important responsibility and one that ensures Liverpool can continue competing at the highest level next season and beyond.
"I leave with complete confidence in what lies ahead. The players who have given so much to this club, who have upheld its values and helped create so many unforgettable moments, have built foundations that will endure.
"At the same time, a new generation is emerging, ready to write its own story and embrace the responsibility that comes with wearing this shirt. Change is part of football, but I know that this club will continue to make its people proud."
