Player in question has been with Arsenal since the age of eight

It may end up being a summer of selling at Arsenal as the North London club look to trim their squad, with a big name expexcted to come their way at some point soon.

Arsenal are reportedly looking to get a deal done for a high-profile attacking addition, a couple of the names on their radar being Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez and Paris Saint-Germain’s Brandley Barcola.

Adding a world-class player to their frontlines is what many fans think will kickstart a dynasty under Mikel Arteta, with the Premier League title win in 2025/26 just the start in the eyes of some.

But there will be one name that will not get to be a part of this dynasty as he is departing the club come summertime, and he has taken to Instagram to reveal how he feels about his time with the club.

Josh Nichols will leave Arsenal after a decade with the club

Right-back Josh Nichols has taken to Instagram to announce that he will be leaving Arsenal to join Croatian side NK Kustosija in the summer.

The post reads:

“It’s hard to put into words what this club means to me. This hasn’t just been a team I’ve played for. it’s been a second family, a place where I started as a little boy, made lifelong memories, and shared unforgettable moments both on and off the pitch with my brothers!

Over the past decade, I’ve experienced the highs, the lows, the victories, the disappointments, and everything in between. Through it all, my love for this club has never changed. Wearing this badge has always been an honour, and every time I stepped onto the pitch, I gave everything I had because this club means so much to me.

I want to thank every teammate, coach, supporter, and most importantly my family for making these years so special. I loved every single moment Once a Gunner always a Gunner.

Thank you @arsenal.”

Nichols has been with the Arsenal academy since he was only eight years of age, meaning that he is a lifelong Gooner and Arsenal fan himself. While the 19-year-old was part of the Premier League-winning squad, he did not take part in any games in the league for Arsenal and was only named in the bench by Mikel Arteta on a couple of occasions.
