Teenager Josh Nichols has decided to leave Arsenal in search of more game time.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims Nichols has agreed a two-year deal with Croatian side NK Kustosija.
Nichols joined Arsenal at the age of eight and progressed through the youth ranks to feature for the first team.
The right-back was included in the pre-season squad in 2024, featuring against Bournemouth and Manchester United. He went viral for his recovery tackle against Jadon Sancho.
He then went on to make his competitive senior debut against Bolton in the Carabao Cup third round. He was also an unused substitute in three Premier League games.
He was an unused substitute in the UEFA Champions League league phase fixture against Club Brugge last season.
With several senior defenders ahead of him, Nichols will find it difficult to get playing time at Arsenal, making an exit understandable.
Fellow academy graduate Ethan Nwaneri is also expected to leave after falling down the pecking order.
Nwaneri joined Marseille on loan in January, but struggled to impress. He is [currently being linked](http://already been linked) with Como as a replacement for Nico Paz.
Arsenal have already confirmed the departure of Jakub Kiwior to Porto. They are also ready to sell Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli.
The north London side want to trim down the size of their squad to accommodate new players as they aim to build on this season’s success.
Arsenal want to sign at least three players including a right-back, midfielder and winger, while they are also exploring the market for a new striker.
Morgan Rogers, Sandro Tonali and Bradley Barcola are some of the prominent players who have been linked with the club.
