Marcus Rashford reportedly has no interest in joining Newcastle United or Tottenham Hotspur this summer if a permanent move from Manchester United to Barcelona does not go ahead.
Those two clubs are among a host of Premier League clubs credited with an interest in him despite the Catalan club still having an option to sign Rashford for £26million. They have until the middle of this month to exercise that clause before it expires, and he officially returns.
After spending the start of 2025 on loan at Aston Villa, another English club could yet come calling. That is why the likes of Newcastle are keeping tabs.

The Mirror claim that Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Spurs are monitoring Rashford's future. However, he is said not to be interested in joining either of the latter two clubs.
United are also reportedly unwilling to sell within England, which could prove problematic if Barcelona end their interest. They could still bring Rashford back after signing Anthony Gordon, but that deal complicates the situation.
Michael Carrick refused to rule out a return for the United academy graduate when asked about him during the season. He said in April: "I just think there are decisions to be made in time, really, on certain things, and obviously Marcus is in that situation.
"But at this point in time, nothing's been decided. And it will be, because it has to be at a certain point, but at this stage, there's nothing to say."
Carrick continued: "There are obviously players on loan, and whatever happens with that later on will happen with that later on. But certainly, as a coach and as a leader of a squad, we want to get the best out of everyone as much as we possibly can.
"I'm not going on the Marcus individual one because I think, like I've already touched on, I think to comment either way at this stage it's not the right thing to do because there are uncertainties for sure."
Rashford spoke consistently during the season about wanting to stay at Barcelona. He said last month: "I'm not a magician, but if I were, I would stay at Barcelona. We will see.
"Football is unpredictable, but for now, I will just enjoy it, live in the moment and reassess at the end of the season and see what is possible."
Their head coach, Hansi Flick, is also said to be keen on keeping hold of the forward. Rashford impressed during his time in La Liga, scoring 14 goals and assisting another 11 in 49 appearances across all competitions.
