Chelsea have rejected approaches for Acheampong from clubs in England and Europe

Acheampong is expected to be an important part of new manager Xabi Alonso's plans at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard has been appointed on a four-year deal following the club's tenth place finish last term.

Acheampong interest

Chelsea have already been forced to knock back interest in Acheampong since the end of the campaign.

Approaches from clubs in both England and Europe have been made for the 20-year-old.

Manchester City and Manchester United are both admirers along with German champions Bayern Munich.

However, Acheampong is contracted with Chelsea until 2029 after signing a new deal in December 2024.

His extension came after the academy graduate made his Premier League debut aged 17.

The right-back has since gone on to make 44 first-team appearances, scoring twice.
