Liverpool could press ahead with their transfer business despite the managerial void in the Anfield hot seat. Arne Slot was sacked following two years at the helm in just the sixth managerial dismissal at the club this century.
Outgoing Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has surfaced as the frontrunner to replace the Premier League-winning boss, with discussions expected to commence this week. The 43-year-old would become only the second Spanish manager in Liverpool's history, following in the footsteps of Rafael Benitez.
While the Reds' leadership remains concentrated on securing a new manager, Yan Diomande is reportedly ready to resolve his future. Meanwhile, discussions regarding a potential swap arrangement have surfaced.
Yan Diomande 'prefers Premier League'
Liverpool's pursuit of Diomande has been well documented and the RB Leipzig talent is believed to have reached a verdict on his uncertain situation. According to reports from Spain, the 19-year-old is favouring a switch to the Premier League, with Paris Saint-Germain competing for his signature too.
The Reds are presently without a manager but have allegedly assured the Ivorian a significant position in their squad next season. It's a guarantee the back-to-back Champions League victors are unable to offer with the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola at their disposal.

Diomande netted 13 times and registered 10 assists across 36 appearances in all competitions during his first Bundesliga campaign. Numerous observers have identified him as the potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah, with the attacker understood to possess a release clause in the region of £86m.
Swap deal talks revealed
Reports emerging from Italy suggest Liverpool's potential signing of Denzel Dumfries could see Curtis Jones move in the other direction to Inter Milan. The 25-year-old is approaching the final year of his deal and has attracted attention from the Serie A champions.
Recent reports indicated a 'gulf' remained between the two sides, with Inter finding it difficult to match the Reds' £25.9m (€30m) asking price for Jones - which stands £8.6m (€10m) beyond what the Italian club can stretch to.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, the publication suggests Liverpool proposed including Dumfries in discussions to bridge the gap in their valuation of Jones.
The Netherlands international is understood to have a £22m release clause written into his deal, though it remains unclear whether either side intends to pursue further negotiations concerning Jones and Dumfries.
