Morgan Rogers fancies a move to Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side have a big question mark.
Rogers’ versatility explained.
There is heavy speculation around Arsenal’s summer transfer plans being centered around signing a big-name attacking player like Morgan Rogers.
Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of Rogers and after leading the Gunners to the Premier League title, the club would ideally like to reward the Spaniard with the 23-year-old’s addition.
The Englishman has had yet another fruitful season for Aston Villa, registering 14 goals and 12 assists during the 2025/2026 campaign.

Rogers rates this Arsenal side highly but a fresh update has emerged around his potential move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal privately doubting Morgan Rogers signing
BBC Sport have reported that several sources have informed them that Rogers would fancy a move to Arsenal. The Europa League winner could cost in excess of £80 million but with Arsenal open to selling Ethan Nwaneri, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli, the midfielder’s addition could be funded.
However, the Gunners are doubtful about whether signing Rogers should be a priority considering Eberechi Eze, who has struggled at Arsenal so far and Martin Odegaard are attacking midfielders.
Arsenal do value how versatile Rogers is, as the former Middlesbrough dribbler can also play as a left-winger. Manchester United are also believed to be in the race to sign Rogers.
Morgan Rogers’ positions played last season
As some figures at Arsenal believe, one major advantage of signing a player like Rogers is his versatility.
The England international has been incredibly effective from central areas and as a makeshift winger.
However, Rogers played most of his football as a number 10 last season.

Unai Emery trusted Rogers to play up front, as a left-sided midfielder and off the right as well, which shows how intelligent a player he is.
With Mikel Arteta being a tactically flexible manager himself, he would also hugely appreciate Rogers’ versatility.
