Chelsea want 22-goal striker– Blues told big money needed to secure signing

João Pedro starred in his debut season at Chelsea, managing 20 goals and nine assists.

The other two strikers, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu, have failed to impress this season.

Delap has two goals [one in league] and four assists from 41 matches and the Spaniard has three goals and two assists. The latter failed to score in the league for Chelsea.

Nicolas Jackson returned to Stamford Bridge after a loan spell at Bayern Munich and his future needs sorting.

The uncertainty around Jackson and both Delap and Guiu’s struggles could see the Blues look for a striker this summer.

Chelsea find target from Turkish league

Sabah now report the west London club want Galatasaray start Victor Osimhen and are pursuing him for the summer.

The Nigeria international previously flirted with the Blues and Manchester United while at Napoli.

In April, Sport Witness relayed news of Arsenal and Barcelona monitoring the 27-year-old. His former agent, Mithat Halis, had encouraged him to pick the La Liga winners or Real Madrid over the Gunners.

Nigeria manager Eric Chelle left him out of the squad for the two friendlies against Poland and Portugal, citing a potential transfer as the reason.

“Victor Osimhen has the possibility of leaving the team and changing clubs. If his mind isn’t completely here, I’d rather he stays at home than play in a match,” he said.

The frontman quickly responded and urged everyone to disregard Chelle’s comments.

“I spoke with Eric Chelle on the phone regarding his comments about me in his recent interview. Unfortunately, his words were taken out of context and exaggerated,” Osimhen explained.

“He has great respect for Galatasaray, follows most of our matches, and had no intention of creating any controversy. I ask everyone to disregard the speculations surrounding this matter.”

The newspaper relays these quotes and also talks about Chelsea, making it clear it’s their own information. The English club want the Nigerian, but the Turkish champions haven’t received any offers so far.

Galatasaray have no intention of letting him leave for less than €150m. This is a clear message to Chelsea and his other suitors.

Contract, value, stats and agent info

Victor Osimhen finished this season with 22 goals and eight assists from 33 matches. He has a contract until 2029 and Transfermarkt value him at €75m.

In 2024, claims from Italy stated the player parted ways with agent Roberto Calenda and personally negotiated his loan move to Galatasaray. It’s unclear whether he has a new agent now.
