Liverpool are in talks to appoint Andoni Iraola as the successor to Arne Slot at Anfield, as per The Athletic. The Spaniard guided Bournemouth to sixth-place in the Premier League last season, ensuring their qualification for the Europa League.
The Reds spent big on new signings last summer, but after their forgettable campaign under Slot, they are now expected to make more additions. Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate are all leaving Anfield on free transfers.
As such, Liverpool have plans to invest heavily in rebuilding their squad after wrapping up talks for Iraola. According to ESPN, the Premier League giants have shortlisted five players as part of their transfer wish list. An elite replacement for Salah is an absolute priority for Liverpool, with Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig considered an option.
Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) Bradley Barcola and Premier League proven winger Jarrod Bowen is also mentioned in the report as potential signings.
Additionally, Liverpool are believed to be in the transfer market for a midfielder and a full-back. Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace and Denzel Dumfries of Inter are the two players who fit the bill, according to the report.
It has also been claimed that the Merseyside club may also part ways with goalkeeper Alisson, who has attracted interest from Juventus, Curtis Jones, Federico Chiesa and Joe Gomez.

Yan Diomande has become a highly sought-after winger in the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international scored 13 goals and bagged 10 assists in all competitions for Leipzig last season.
Several big clubs in Europe have kept an eye on him, including Liverpool. However, as per Foot Mercato, Diomande has now given PSG the green light to snap him up this summer. PSG are expected to formally approach Leipzig in the coming days, but the European champions have no intention to overpay for the player.
The Ligue 1 giants view Diomande as someone who can strengthen the right wing department for them. With Ousmane Dembele playing centrally, Desire Doue and Kang-in Lee are the only options who prefer playing down that side. This is where PSG believe a new signing like Diomande can come in and provide quality to their star-studded attack.
Even though he is ready to join PSG, Diomande has not ruled out the possibility of making the switch to Anfield, as per the report. Whoever bids first and closes the deal with Leipzig will get the player.
