Arsenal will be busy in the transfer market to discuss player signings and sales before the next Premier League season starts. As reported by Football London, questions arise over the futures of Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Jesus and interest develops in signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

Morgan Rogers

As reported by Mirror, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants to sign Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. The 23 year old attacking midfielder has been key to Unai Emery’s plans this season. Arsenal are struggling to create chances. Their Captain Martin Odegaard faces issues over injury. Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal in the summer of 2025, has failed to make a big impact this season. As reported by Mirror mentioned earlier, after the loss against PSG in UCL Final, Mikel Arteta says that the club needs to make “important decisions” in the summer.

As reported by Sun, Arsenal are preparing an offer around £80 million. The report from Sun also tells that Villa are firm on their stance and insist on £100 million for him. As reported by sports, many other clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG are watching this situation closely. This makes the deal very hard as competition from other clubs could inflate the asking price.

Rogers’ stats for 2025/26 season across all competitions, as reported by Transfermarkt:

Competition Appearances Goals Assists

Premier League 37 10 7

Europa League 15 3 5

FA Cup 2 1 0

Viktor Gyokeres

Viktor Gyokeres joined Arsenal from Sporting for a fee of £64 million in 2025. As reported by Goal, after the defeat in UCL final, Arsenal legend Martin Keown feels that Arsenal need to sign another striker in this summer transfer window. The Gunners failed to score goals in the normal time which resulted in the match getting decided by penalty shootouts. It was clear that Gyokeres was struggling against the centre back duo of Marquinhos and Pacho. As reported by, he has faced a similar situation of ups and downs throughout this season.

These types of situations require a like-for-like replacement to come in. This allows the team to play the way they want without changing tactics. Kai Havertz is an option on the bench. But he is not exactly the same type of striker as Viktor Gyokeres. The team has to adjust their structure and tactics depending on who starts as the striker for them. This creates a situation where they struggle to be consistent in attacking areas.

Gyokeres’ stats for 2025/26 season in all competitions, as per Transfermarkt:

Competition Appearances Goals Assists

Premier League 36 14 1

UCL 13 5 1

FA Cup 2 1 0

EFL Cup 4 1 1

Gabriel Jesus

Another player whose future is in doubt is Gabriel Jesus. He was signed by Arsenal because of his top performances for Man City from 2017/2018 to 2021/22. In his first season for the North London club, he made 33 appearances and scored 11 goals and registered 8 assists. This was considered a strong debut Premier League season.

But his form and injury issues changed the situation. This created issues for the club in attacks as they lacked someone who can finish chances. Since his return from injury, he is not has not been used much because of his form. Debate has grown on social media about his suitability and long term future at the club. As reported by teamtalk, if he leaves Arsenal, he would want to join his boyhood club, Palmeiras in the Brazilian Football League.

As Arteta said, this summer Arsenal plan to take important decisions. In that case, this might include the sale of Jesus to create space in the squad, making the next few weeks key to determine his future.
