What Chelsea sources are saying about 20 year old rising talent in Ligue 2

Ewen Jaouen was talked about as a BlueCo target yesterday, but those rumours are already being shut down.

Chelsea are in a for another goalkeeper shuffle this summer, that much is certain.

Backup to the first team Filip Jorgensen has asked to leave, and we see no reason the club wouldn’t make that happen. Meanwhile he’s likely to be replaced by Mike Penders, who will return from his loan at our sister club Strasbourg.

That means the Alsatians will require a new goalkeeper – and rumours in the last 24 hours thought we had found our man. There was a lot of talk about Reims stopper Ewen Jaouen coming to join BlueCo, but it looks like that now won’t happen.

BlueCo’s goalkeeper plans remain mysterious

The Evening Standard claim that sources have told them there is “no interest” in the goalkeeper for “either Chelsea or Strasbourg.”

Despite having been tracked by BlueCo scouts, “sources maintain interest will not escalate into a move.”

If Penders does come to Chelsea, that then

It’s not even impossible we see Jorgensen switch places with Penders, especially if we find it hard to get bids close to the more than £20m we paid.

In other news…

Chelsea have yet to put a price tag on Marc Cucurella, and there is a very simple reason for that according to people on the inside at the club.

Josh Acheampong is one player who Xabi Alonso will apparently be counting on – although we’ve seen little to no evidence from the club in the last couple of years of how much they rate him.
