Alejandro Garnacho has been brutally mocked by football fans after flexing his new Joker tattoo.

Garnacho has struggled this season at Chelsea after being turfed out of Manchester United - and was snubbed from Argentina's World Cup squad as a result. And so, with some rare time away from the pitch, the 21-year-old winger decided to cover his entire back with a massive picture of Batman comic book and movie villain The Joker.

Renowned artist Joaquin Ganga, whose previous clients include basketball icon Lebron James, rapper Drake and singer Post Malone, tattoed the design that featured Heath Ledger's Joker from the cult classic The Dark Knight. But football fans pulled no punches, claiming the only Joker was Garnacho himself.

"So this is what he’s using his free time to do. Now wonder he isn’t improving," one fan replied. While a second said: "Has more tattoos than his total xG for the whole season..."

"Finally decided to show off who he really is," a third joked. As a fourth responded: "Summed himself up, a joker!"

And another added: "I’m not surprised he’s also a joke on the pitch!"

United could be in line for a welcome financial windfall after rumours surrounding Garnacho's future at Chelsea. The Red Devils sold Garnacho to Chelsea last summer in a deal valued at £40million, after he fell out with then manager Ruben Amorim.

And, as part of the agreement United struck with Chelsea, a 10% sell-on clause was written into the deal.

According to The Sun, Chelsea are now willing to sanction Garnacho's departure on a permanent basis this summer, after a disappointing campaign saw him return just eight goals.

Should Chelsea successfully sell Garnacho for the reported £40million asking price, United could find themselves banking an additional £4m this summer.
