Arteta’s men handed boost in Julian Alvarez pursuit
Arsenal have seen their hopes of signing Julian Alvarez boosted after learning Atletico Madrid have identified Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as a possible replacement, according to Diario AS" href="https://as.com/futbol/primera/el-atletico-sondeo-a-osimhen-f202606-n/" target="_blank">Diario AS.
The Spanish outlet claims Atletico have lined up a €75m (£64.8m) deal to sign Osimhen, in the event that Alvarez - who is also wanted by Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain - leaves the Metropolitano Stadium.
Atletico branded speculation surrounding Alvarez’s future as “lies” last week, with the La Liga side directing the majority of their anger towards Barcelona, who have made the Argentina striker a primary target this summer, according to The Athletic" href="https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7324295/2026/06/02/barcelona-transfer-dealsheet-alvarez-kounde/" target="_blank">The Athletic.

Gunners learn asking price for West Ham’s Fernandes
Arsenal have been told they will have to stump up €92m (£80m) if they want to sign in-demand West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes, according to The Times" href="https://www.thetimes.com/sport/football/article/west-ham-united-arsenal-mateus-fernandes-transfer-qtwth2jjk" target="_blank">The Times.
Fernandes is understood to be available following West Ham’s relegation to the Championship, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side looking to raise funds to cope without the Premier League’s riches next season.
However, Arsenal also face competition from Manchester United and PSG for the Portugal international’s signature.

Arsenal handed daunting asking price for Lille’s Bouaddi
Arsenal target Ayyoub Bouaddi will not be sold unless Lille receive an “extraordinary” fee for the highly-rated midfielder, according to the French club’s president Olivier Letang.
In quotes carried by French publication RMC Sport" href="https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/football/clubs/losc-lille/mercato-letang-retiendra-bouaddi-a-lille-a-moins-d-une-offre-extraordinaire-et-de-beaucoup-d-argent_AV-202606010995.html" target="_blank">RMC Sport, Letang said: “We'll talk about it (transfer speculation) with Ayyoub. To be very sincere, it had also been the subject of our discussions. We have very, very, very regular exchanges with Ayyoub. The idea for us is to keep him.”
And when asked whether €50m (£43m) would be enough to land Bouaddi, Letang added: “No, that's not enough. When I say extraordinary it's something extraordinary. Here we are far from the amount that would allow us to let Ayyoub go.
“Bouaddi has extended his contract until 2029, so he has three years left. He is 18 years old and [somewhere] he is sure to be a starter in a team that plays [in] the Champions League.”
