Chelsea star has personal agreement in place for transfer – Presidential elections key

Real Madrid have an agreement in place with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández to sign him after the World Cup.

Marca report information from Spanish journalist Miguel ‘Látigo’ Serrano, who has revealed the potential transfer deal on his YouTube channel.

Chelsea exit

According to the newspaper, Enzo Fernández is one step closer to joining Real Madrid thanks to the personal agreement in place.

Serrano reports that that Real Madrid have already put an agreement in place with the 25-year-old. President Florentino Pérez plans to get a deal done if he wins the elections on Sunday, as expected.

“They have reached an agreement with Enzo Fernández,” Serrano explained.

“The agreement Real Madrid has reached is not a transfer agreement with Chelsea. But it is a deal made with Enzo Fernández, his agent Javier Pastore, and Real Madrid for him to become a Madrid player after the World Cup.

“That agreement doesn’t mean he’s 100% going to play for Real Madrid. It will depend on whether the negotiations between Real Madrid and Chelsea are successful. We’ll have to see how much money Real Madrid is willing to spend and how low Chelsea is willing to go.

“Everyone assumes the president can leak the Enzo Fernández signing because it’s a deal that depends solely on money. When Florentino says that people know the best players want to play for Real Madrid, they tell me he’s referring to Enzo Fernández and someone else too.”

Chelsea stance

Of course, whether Chelsea accept the Argentine leaving this summer remains to be seen. Reports in England have already stated that the Blues won’t sanction an exit.

It also remains to be seen what their asking price would be. Enzo Fernández is currently valued at €90m, after costing €121m in 2023. So, any deal will not be a simple one for Real Madrid to get done.

But with a personal agreement in place, that’s one potential hurdle already cleared as Florentino Pérez plans a big summer spend.
