Details of the brand new Manchester City away kit for the forthcoming 2026/27 season appears to have leaked online ahead of its official release this summer – and have drawn a somewhat mixed reaction from the club’s supporters.

Information about the new design and digital renders which show what the finished product might look like have appeared on social media and have been summarised by Footy Headlines. 3 Added Minutes have not yet been able to independently verify the leaks, but several sources seem to agree that they provide a good approximation of a potentially divisive new jersey.
What Manchester City’s 2026/27 away kit will look like - according to leaks
If the leaks are proven accurate, then Manchester City are set to take to the field in a black shirt with pale yellow trim, with the trim appearing on a circular collar, the ends of the sleeves and on flashes down the sides beneath the arms.
The standard club crest, front-of-shirt sponsor and Puma’s manufacturer’s logo will also be picked out in the same colour, which appears likely to be a much more pastel shade than the vivid yellow seen on the 2024/25 away kit.
The kit will also have a subtle graphic pattern representing the worker bee, the traditional symbol of the city of Manchester. The social media post above shows a render of the kit based on the leaks, but not the finished product, and the bee elements of the design in particular are unlikely to be fully accurate. The shading and overall style, however, seem likely to be a fair representation of the end product.
The leaks come hot on the heels of the launch of the new home shirt, which features a tie-dye style blue-to-white fade. The third kit, meanwhile is yet to be revealed, but similar leaks suggest that it will be a predominantly white jersey with a pair of blue stripes running vertically down the centre of the shirt.
Puma’s new kit divides opinions online
While fans have not yet had the chance to see the finished article, the digital renders currently circulating online have sparked a distinctly mixed reaction, with as many negative responses as positive reviews showing up on social media.
Some fans responding to some of the images being shared based on the information available have described it as “awesome,” “sleek” and “stunning,” but there are plenty who seem happy to agree with the poster who dismissed the new kit as “garbage.” With no official images of the final kit currently available, of course, there is every chance that the end product will provoke a different reaction.
If it does go down badly, then it won’t be the first time that Puma have raised eyebrows with their designs for Manchester City – last season’s third kit, for instance, was widely derided as one of the worst shirts in Premier League history. Puma were also responsible for half of our countdown of the 10 worst kits in the 2026 World Cup.
