Six blockbuster Arsenal transfers that could be completed this summer - including £100m Aston…

Arsenal are set to go all guns blazing in the transfer window this summer

The dust has finally settled on Arsenal’s 2025/26 campaign, following the Gunners’ Champions League final loss to Paris Saint-Germain last weekend. The brutal defeat saw Mikel Arteta’s side take the Ligue 1 giants all the way to penalties, only for spot-kick misses from Eberechi Eze and Gabriel to seal their defeat in Budapest.

However, that result won’t take the shine off what has been a highly successful campaign for Arsenal - one in which they ended their 22-year wait to win the Premier League title again. North London was a sea of red for their trophy parade earlier this week, and morale will be high heading into next season.

The Gunners are expected to sign at least one new midfielder, and could also look to freshen up their full-back options. Forward players could also be under consideration, with Gabriel Jesus likely to move on and Arteta keen to find more specialist competition for Viktor Gyokeres’ starting spot.

As we await the summer transfer window’s opening later this month, we’ve rounded up the latest names to be linked with Arsenal ahead of a busy few weeks of wheeling and dealing for the Premier League champions:

Who will Arsenal sign this summer? Brown to Alvarez

Nathaniel Brown - Eintracht Frankfurt: Arteta values versatility highly, and Brown certainly fits the bill. The Germany international, who will be starring at the World Cup later this month, is capable of playing down all areas of the left flank. He’s recently been linked with a move to Arsenal, and could be the ideal signing to solve a couple of issues facing the side.

Myles Lewis-Skelly looks unlikely to remain as a left-back option, and should instead return to playing in midfield - this leaves just Ricardo Calafiori to fill that role. Further up the field, Leandro Trossard is set to move on this summer, while questions remain over Gabriel Martinelli’s future at the club. Brown could fill either role, or indeed rotate between both, throughout next season.

Morgan Rogers - Aston Villa: Competition for the England gem is set to be fierce this summer. He’s been in exceptional form for the past couple of seasons with Villa, and played a pivotal role in the side’s Europa League winning campaign. The Villans won’t let him go on the cheap, however, and could demand upwards of £100m for the ex-Man City gem.

He’s been heavily linked with the Gunners for a number of weeks, and could be reluctantly sold as his club look to address their ongoing PSR concerns. Having secured a place in the Champions League for a fourth season in a row, Arsenal should have the financial muscle necessary to pull off the deal. Questions remain over what impact that would have on their budget for strengthening in other areas, however.

Julian Alvarez - Atletico Madrid: A long shot at this stage, but you never know. Barcelona look hellbent on snatching the Argentinean gem from Atleti - to the extent that Los Colchoneros went on a social media tirade with messages that appeared to be aimed at the Catalan giants’ attempts to snatch their top talent.

With relations between the two clubs fractious to say the least, Arsenal could look to swoop in for a player widely understood to be a long-term target. That said, it’s likely that the 26-year-old’s head has already been turned, and it would be an uphill struggle for the Gunners to get a deal done at this stage. Like with Rogers, Alvarez wouldn’t come cheap, either.

Who will Arsenal sign this summer? Monga to Kroupi

Jeremy Monga - Leicester City: Very much one for the future, the Gunners are believed to be closing in on a move for the 16-year-old wonderkid. Despite his tender years, the England U19 international played 30 games in all competitions for the Foxes last season, but is expected to leave the club following their relegation to League One.

Like Max Dowman, Monga is an all-action winger whose fearless exuberance makes him a joy to watch. He’s likely to sign professional terms with Leicester before his exit is agreed, which would ensure the club receive a decent fee - The Athletic reckon it could be as high as £15m - for their young talent, rather than having to rely on a tribunal pay-out.

Ivan Fresneda - Sporting CP: If Arsenal want to sign a specialist right-back, to ease the pressure on Jurrien Timber, then Fresneda could be an option. The 21-year-old Spaniard has been namechecked among potential Gunners targets for the past couple of months. He could be a cheaper alternative to Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento, and come without the ‘injury-prone’ tag.

The highly-rated ex-Real Valladolid prospect is renowned for his tough tackling and composure on the ball, making him an ideal candidate for Arteta’s physical side. Another factor to consider is that he hasn’t made Spain’s World Cup squad, which means he’ll be fresh and raring to go after a summer off to recover from the rigours of last season.

Eli Junior Kroupi - Bournemouth: Seasoned Football Manager players saw the French starlet’s rise coming. He had a 2025/26 debut campaign to remember with the Cherries, breaking his way into the first team and blitzing his way to 13 Premier League goals - including the one against Man City that confirmed Arsenal’s league title win.

The Gunners are thought to be highly-interested in the 19-year-old sensation, and are mindful that competition to sign him will get significantly fiercer as he continues to dazzle in the Premier League. He could well cost over £80m, so it’s another financial dilemma the club will need to careful consider before committing to the deal.
