Liverpool are interested in signing Kennet Eichhorn and could reportedly loan him out to another Bundesliga club if a deal is completed.

The move comes as the Reds continue their aggressive pursuit of some of Europe’s brightest young talents ahead of the summer transfer window.

Reports suggest Liverpool have already secured the signing of Samuel Martinez on a five-year deal, with the South American youngster set to officially join the club in the summer of 2027.

Eichhorn is also attracting interest from several leading European clubs, including Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.

According to SPORT1, Bayern Munich have withdrawn from the race to sign Kennet Eichhorn. The Bundesliga champions are understood to have cooled their interest in the Hertha BSC youngster after conducting a thorough assessment of a potential deal.

Financial considerations are believed to have played a major role in the decision, while there are also sporting reservations over the 16-year-old, who has attracted attention from several of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl had previously been viewed as a strong supporter of a move for Eichhorn, but is now said to be in agreement with the club’s decision to step away from negotiations.

Borussia Dortmund have also withdrawn from the race for financial reasons. Eichhorn’s representatives are reportedly seeking a signing-on fee of around €10million, while the teenager’s release clause for Champions League clubs is believed to be €9million.

With both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund pulling out of the race, Liverpool could be handed a significant boost in their pursuit of Kennet Eichhorn this summer.

The teenager made 20 appearances and scored two goals for Hertha Berlin during the 2025/26 season, further enhancing his reputation as one of Germany’s brightest young talents.

Whether Liverpool can complete a deal remains to be seen, but the Reds may now find themselves in a stronger position to secure Eichhorn’s signature in the coming weeks.
