Liverpool endured a disappointing campaign as reigning Premier League champions - but they will still be healthily represented at the World Cup.

The Reds, only just, finished in the top five. Had the Premier League not been awarded an extra Champions League place for its high UEFA coefficient ranking, a frustrating season would have been even worse for the club.

It was an inconsistent campaign for Liverpool, despite their unprecedentedly high transfer spend last summer. And that resulted in manager Arne Slot being sacked by the Anfield hierarchy.

But while they look to secure Slot's successor, and transfers for the next manager, many of their players will be competing in the USA, Mexico and Canada for their respective countries.

Mirror Football takes a look at which Liverpool players will be at the World Cup and which players missed out on a call-up after the deadline for squad submissions passed this week.
