PSG are said to be keen on the former Boro attacker, while Manchester United have also been strongly linked, with head coach Michael Carrick known to be a big fan of Rogers having managed the attacker on Teesside.
Rogers left the Riverside to join Villa in a deal worth £16m early in 2024, just six months after he'd joined Boro for £1m from Manchester City.
Having already made a huge profit on the 23-year-old, Boro are in line to further benefit should the England international move on this summer, with head of football Kieran Scott having inserted a sell-on clause - understood to be 20% - in the deal when Rogers joined Villa.

Ideally, Villa want to keep Rogers this summer and will fight to do so, with Unai Emery preparing for a return to the Champions League next term after winning the Europa League.
But there's also an acceptance at Villa Park that sales are inevitable in order to comply with financial restrictions, and Rogers is not only in-demand but would net Villa a huge fee. Villa are said to value the former Manchester City youngster at around the £100m mark.
Rogers still has five years to run on his contract that he signed last November, so Villa are in a strong position on that front.
Eyebrows were raised when Emery identified Rogers as a target for Villa having been drawn to the versatile forward when he studied Boro ahead of the FA Cup tie against the Championship side in January of 2024.
But Rogers has been a roaring success at Villa Park under Emery.
“We have a really close relationship,” said Rogers of his head coach in an interview with the Athletic last month.
“It’s difficult in that he always wants to push and challenge me on the pitch and in front of the players, but he wants the best for me. He wants me to learn to adapt, to be the best version of myself, and that’s all he cares about.
“His drive to be the best version of himself comes across on to us, and we always have to show why we deserve to be where we are and to keep pushing. As long as you’re on the same page and trying to listen and develop, he’ll put his trust and his time into you and will give back what you give to him. It’s a very good working relationship, even if some days are harder than others.”
Chelsea have also been strongly linked with Rogers in the past, but Arsenal are frontrunners to sign the forward as things stand.
After winning their first Premier League title in 22 years but falling short in the Champions League final against PSG, boss Mikel Arteta said the Gunners need to show their "ambition" and make "important decisions" this summer to take the club to "another level".
