Chelsea have a plethora of representatives at the 2026 World Cup, with three of their players wearing the exact same shirt number for their countries.
While star attackers Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro will not be joining up with England and Brazil respectively, there are a number of Chelsea stars in with a real chance of winning as part of the Spain, Argentina and France sides.
Nicolas Jackson, Mamadou Sarr and Malo Gusto will be the only Chelsea players who will face off against each other during the group stages, with Senegal drawn in the same group as France.

Chelsea players’ World Cup shirt numbers revealed
Countries have started to hand out shirt numbers for their players, which can usually give an indication of how important they are set to be during the World Cup campaign.
Reece James will be hoping this isn’t the case, with him being given the number 24 shirt for Thomas Tuchel’s England rather than the number two.

It refers to his shirt number for Chelsea, however he will not be the only Blue donning the same shirt number in North America this summer.
Enzo Fernandez, who is Chelsea’s number eight, will also wear 24 despite being expected to start, as well as regular number three for the Blues, Marc Cucurella.
Both players will be hoping for a strong World Cup campaign to actually convince potentially interested clubs to sign them. Both are wanting a move away from Chelsea this summer.
