### NFL fans are ripping Packers head coach Matt LaFleur for his tone-deaf response to running back Josh Jacobs’ arrest
This week, however, Jacobs was present at Packers’ OTAs. When asked about the running back’s presence amid the allegations and arrest, LaFleur said it was “business as usual.” LaFleur also deferred to the team’s official statement on the mater, which simply read: “We are aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs. As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment.”
NFL fans were quick to rip LaFleur for his tone-deaf response given the seriousness of what Jacobs has been accused of — this isn’t a speeding ticket we’re talking about here.
**“Business as usual is crazy man,”** read one viral tweet.
**“’Business as usual’ for battery on a woman, yep that locker room going under,”** a second read.
**“They wear pink gloves in October though,”** pointed out one sarcastic post, referencing the NFL’s Breast Cancer Awareness month program.
**“Referring to your player being at practice after beating and strangling a woman as ‘business as usual’ is a word beyond disgusting.”**
**“Did LaFleur go to the Andy Reid school of pretending like your players criminal actions never happened?”**
Jacobs has denied all allegations through his attorneys via the following statement:
**“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public.”**
In two season and 32 games with the Packers, the University of Alabama product has had 535 carries for 2,258 yards and has scored 30 touchdowns.
