New Premier League Boss In Triple Transfer Raid of Old Club

Recently, Liverpool caused a bit of a stir when they announced that Arne Slot would be leaving the club following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. Things are moving fast at Anfield – just a few days hence, they have agreed a deal to bring former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola in as the Dutchman’s replacement.

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool have now been linked with a trio of Cherries players – Alex Scott, Eli Junior Kroupi and Rayan are all thought to be on the agenda of the Reds’ scouting network.

This comes from Daily Echo reporter Alex Smith, who spoke with ThisIsAnfield, stating: “I think the three players that Bournemouth know will be eyed up this summer are Alex Scott, Junior Kroupi and Rayan.

“I’d be surprised if we didn’t see next month or two lots of newspaper stories coming out saying Liverpool are interested in one or multiple of those three in particular.”

2025/26 PL Stats for Rayan, Ei Junior Kroupi & Alex Scott

Games Goals Assists Yellow Cards Red Cards

Rayan 15 5 2 1 0

Alex Scott 37 3 1 5 0

E. Junior Kroupi 33 13 0 5 0

First and foremost, it is important to remember that Rayan only joined Bournemouth halfway through the season. As such, he didn’t have the same amount of time to rack up goals and assists as Kroupi and Scott did.

Rayan is a phenomenal modern winger. With excellent ball control and underrated physicality, he often resembles a young Cristiano Ronaldo with his fantastic ability to find space in the box.

Eli Junior Kroupi, meanwhile, has drawn comparisons to a young Thierry Henry. It’s easy to see why when you watch him play – his finishing is pinpoint, being backed up by brilliant ball control and dribbling.

Meanwhile, with Alex Scott, his goals and assists tallies don’t tell the full story of how good he is. A silky central midfielder who can create chances with a simple drop of the shoulder, it’s a crying shame that we won’t see him in an England shirt at the 2026 World Cup.

Who would be the best signing for Liverpool of the three?

For our money, as great as Junior Kroupi might be, Liverpool should not be shelling out any more money on strikers at present. They spent almost £200 million on centre-forwards last summer – bringing another one into the mix simply isn’t a good idea.

Additionally, they already have a pair of top midfield creators in Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister – we fear Scott could get lost in the shuffle if brought on board this summer.

Rayan, on the other hand, would be an excellent addition to the squad. With Mohamed Salah set to leave the club, the Reds are in need of a new wide player this summer.

He is still very young at 19 years of age, but he has already proven that he can be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League. Additionally, bringing him to Anfield would allow him to continue his rapid development under the guidance of Iraola.
