David Corenswet’s Mr Irrelevant Sets Christmas Release

After fantastic results at test screenings earlier in the year, theDavid Corenswet-starring sports drama,Mr Irrelevant, will be hitting cinemas on Christmas Day this year. Based on a true story, the film followsJohn Tuggle, an American football player who was given the titleMr Irrelevantafter being the last pick of the last round in the 1983 NFL draft. This is the annual nickname tradition for anyone in that position.

The breakout star of last year’sSuperman film will play the running back John Tuggle, who, after being drafted by the New York Giants, was awarded the Special Teams Player of the Year within his own team that same year. Tuggle, however, sadly died a few years later at the age of 25 after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.
