A new club has been linked with a move for Federico Chiesa, with the Italian expected to leave after two years at Liverpool.
Another club interested in Federico Chiesa
While his contract doesn’t expire until 2028, this summer seems a natural time for Chiesa to leave, having started just one Premier League match this season.
For many players, Andoni Iraola‘s arrival may signal fresh start, but it seems unlikely the 28-year-old will fit into the new coach’s high-intensity style of play.
Italian source Cronache di spogliatoio has added Como 1907’s name to the list of clubs interested in the Italian.

Managed by Cesc Fabregas, the team have recently qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
They are also set for a pre-season friendly at Anfield in August, indicating somewhat of a good relationship existing between the clubs.
The report explained: “The team showing concrete interest in him are Como, who need eight Italian players in its squad to complete the Champions League list. At the moment, there are only 2: Goldaniga and third goalkeeper Vigorito.”
Napoli, Atalanta, AC Milan, Inter, Roma and former club Juventus have all previously been touted as potential destinations too, the latter most strongly-linked.

More from This Is Anfield
Liverpool are letting Andy Robertson, Mo Salah and Ibrahima Konate all leave this summer, so why are they intent on bucking the trend to keep Alisson?
Journalist David Lynch assesses the goalkeeping situation and explains why the Brazilian is staying put:
“The case to wave goodbye to the Brazilian is clearly there, given the last season saw him make his fewest Premier League appearances since signing for the club (26).
“And that is down to persistent muscle issues that it is hard to imagine clearing up with the Brazil international closing in on his 34th birthday.
“With all that considered, you might think Richard Hughes and Co. would be enthusiastically engaging in negotiations with Juventus in the hopes of raising funds from an ageing star.
“Yet, the biggest difference between the aforementioned departees and Alisson is that, when it comes to the goalkeeper, the Reds have little confidence in what might come next.”

Liverpool FC: On this day
Happy Birthday to Liverpool FC!
It was on this day, June 3, 1892, that club founder John Houlding signed the Certificate of Change of Name to alter the club from Everton Football Club and Athletic Grounds Company Limited to Liverpool Football Club and Athletic Grounds Company Limited.
Liverpool began life in the Lancashire League later that year and the rest, as they say, is history!
