Chelsea are in desperate need of getting a long-term front-of-shirt sponsor and securing a regular source of income to help balance the books.
The Blues are expected to have to part ways with a big-name player this summer in order to allow them to strengthen their side and meet UEFA’s financial sanction from last summer.
Enzo Fernandez is being strongly linked with the exit door, while Marc Cucurella could also be sold before Xabi Alonso even gets the chance to work with them at Chelsea.
What is Xabi Alonso’s number one priority as soon as he walks through those doors?🤔

In recent seasons, the Blues have been without a regular front-of-shirt sponsor, and instead have opted for short-term deals.
They had IFS on their shirt for the final weeks of the 2025/26 season, and Damac for the latter stages of the prior season.
The Telegraph are reporting that Chelsea are still hoping for around £50m in their attempts to secure a new sponsor during this summer.

However, the report goes on to say that their woeful 2025/26 campaign has made the deal less valuable, falling to around £33.6m.
The Blues can no longer offer European football to potential companies looking to sponsor them, immediately making them a less valuable attraction.
Chelsea are likely to be kicking themselves after not securing a big-money deal before this season got underway, when they had just been crowned World Champions.
Who would you sign to replace Marc Cucurella? 🫵
Andrea Cambiaso is the latest player to be linked.
There must have been a belief amongst Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali that they were in the driving seat when it came to negotiations, although they failed to secure a long-term partner.
Chelsea are already at a disadvantage when it comes to their big six rivals because of the size of the stadium. Stamford Bridge holds far fewer than any of their counterparts.
Any hopes of a new stadium that were initially wanted by the owners look a long way away at this stage, and income from a front-of-shirt sponsor should be seen as a priority this summer.
