After trials at Man City and Hannover, Agbejoye attracting interest from AIK, FC Copenhagen and …

European interest is intensifying in highly-rated Nigerian teenager Angelo Agbejoye following his impressive rise, which has seen him attract attention from clubs across Scandinavia and beyond ahead of the summer transfer window.

Sky Sport reporter Philipp Hinze, writing on his official social media handle, said the 2026 Flying Eagles invitee has emerged as a target for AIK Stockholm as they consider attacking reinforcements ahead of potential squad changes involving compatriot Zadok Yohanna, who is reportedly close to a move to Brighton.

Hinze explained that Agbejoye is being viewed by AIK as one of the options under consideration to strengthen their attack.

He also reported that discussions are already ongoing between AIK and the player’s representatives, while stressing that the Nigerian forward is also drawing interest from several other European clubs, including FC Copenhagen and Benfica.

Agbejoye is understood to be keen on securing a move to Europe this summer as he continues his development after gaining valuable exposure through trial spells with several clubs, including German side Hannover 96 and Premier League giants Manchester City last year.

The 18-year-old is currently with Nigeria’s U20 national team as they prepare for the upcoming Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualifiers, where he is expected to play a key role in the squad’s attacking setup.

His performances at youth level, combined with his growing international exposure, have placed him firmly on the radar of multiple European scouts, with AIK among the clubs monitoring his situation closely as they weigh up potential options in attack.
