James is set to become an unrestricted free agent, and his future is wide open. The Los Angeles Lakers star could stay in Los Angeles, retire, or explore a move elsewhere as he evaluates the final stages of his legendary career.

One of the most talked-about ideas around the league is a potential partnership between James and Stephen Curry in Golden State, a scenario that would bring together two of the biggest stars of the modern NBA.

According to a prediction from Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, the Warriors will ultimately land James in free agency. The report suggests a two-year deal worth around 30 million dollars, including a player option for the second season.

"The Los Angeles Lakers face a significant decision with James. Even as he nears 42, he continues to be one of the most powerful players in the association. James doesn't make sense for room teams like the Chicago Bulls or Brooklyn Nets. A sign-and-trade from the Lakers would require a three-year deal and trigger apron restrictions. The chance to finish his career in Golden State with Curry will be James' path forward," Pincus wrote.

"Warriors sign James at $30.8 million over two years with a player option, starting at the $15 million non-taxpayer mid-level exception," he explained the deal.

James is entering free agency on an expiring $52.6 million contract, with full control over his next move.

Despite being in the later stage of his career, he remains highly productive. In his 22nd NBA season, he averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game while shooting 51.5 percent from the field across 60 games.
