The NFL on Wednesday released its preseason schedule.
The Patriots will face the Colts at home on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Eagles at home on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. They will then travel to Cleveland and close out the preseason against the Browns on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 8 p.m., ahead of roster cutdown day on Aug. 30.
Last year, quarterback Drake Maye took 14 snaps in the preseason opener, 15 in the second week, and then rested for the finale.
The Patriots will also host two sets of joint practices, one day with the Colts (Aug. 11) and two with the Eagles (Aug. 19-20). Coach Mike Vrabel called the Colts “a very good offensive football team,” shouting out Shane Steichen’s scheme, and called the Eagles “an accomplished football team that’s used to winning.”
In May, the NFL announced the regular-season schedule, which opens on Wednesday, Sept. 9, with a Super Bowl LX rematch between the Patriots and Seahawks.
