Mohamed Salah’s next move remains undecided as the Liverpool legend gets set to enter a new chapter of his career.

Despite Salah ’s status as one of the all-time greats of the Premier League, the 33-year-old is not expected to land with a European giant who will contend for Champions League titles as his next club. Rather, teams based in the Saudi Pro League or MLS have been tipped as his most likely destination.

It comes as Federico Chiesa made it very clear how he feels about Arne Slot after he was fired by Liverpool.

The latest next club betting odds suggest Salah could end up snubbing Saudi Arabia or MLS in favor of a return to Serie A, where he spent three seasons playing for Fiorentina and Roma between 2014 and 2017.

Both Roma and Juventus have emerged near the top of the odds board for Salah’s next team, with each Italian side holding a +700 shot to sign the Egyptian King. Both still trail Al Ittihad (+200), Any MLS team (+450), and Fenerbahce (+500) in the betting.

While Roma, where Salah logged 34 goals and 18 assists in two seasons with the club, have been near the top of the odds ever since he announced he would leave Liverpool, Juventus’ position among the favorites is a more recent development.

The Turin club previously hovered between +1600 and +2000 to win Salah’s signature before rising in recent days.

After missing out on Champions League qualification, manager Luciano Spalletti may look to integrate a seasoned veteran like Salah to steady the ship going into the 2026-27 season.

Salah has already joined up with Egypt ahead of the 2026 World Cup, so it is unlikely that he will announce his next club in the near future. As is the case with all next club odds, there is a high probability of further movement throughout the summer.

Salah leaves Liverpool as one of the club’s greatest ever players. In nine seasons, the Egyptian King scored 256 goals and provided 121 assists in 440 appearances while leading the club to two Premier League titles, a Champions League title, an FA Cup, and two League Cups.

He ranks fourth all-time in Premier League history with 193 goals, trailing only Alan Shearer (260 goals), Harry Kane (213), and Wayne Rooney (208) in that category.

After what was perhaps his best-ever season in 2024-25, in which he led the Reds to the Premier League title while logging 29 and 18 goals, Salah clearly dropped a level last campaign but still accrued 12 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
