After getting eliminated in the first round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, the Boston Celtics have had plenty of free time to watch the postseason over the last month.
That includes Derrick White, who saw his former team, the San Antonio Spurs, reach the NBA Finals after upsetting the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
The Spurs will square off against the New York Knicks, who rolled through the East and enter the Finals on an 11-game winning streak.
On Wednesday's episode of "Run It Back," White revealed his Finals prediction.
"Spurs in 7." - Derrick White
"Knicks fans will be on your a**." - Chandler Parsons
"Regardless." 😅

"I've been trying to stay away from predictions," White said. "I've got a lot of love for those people in San Antonio, so I'm gonna say the Spurs in seven. I hope it goes seven... Game 7, pick 'em."
That's not too surprising given White's history with San Antonio, where he spent the first four and a half seasons of his NBA career. The Spurs also have a beloved former Celtic in Luke Kornet, who signed with them last offseason.
San Antonio has home-court advantage and is favored to win the series, so White's prediction has a good chance to come true. Time will tell if the Spurs prove him right and win their first title since 2014.
